In short
Pocket Option has run since 2017 and is built around short fixed-time trades: choose up or down and a timer, and a correct call pays a set percentage. Next to the chart sit copy trading, a signals panel and regular contests. An MT5 account for forex and CFDs is offered separately.

Licence and company
The operator says it is licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) in the Comoros. That licence offers little investor protection and no compensation fund, and no regulator in your Asian market oversees the company. The UK FCA has warned about it, the US CFTC keeps it on its RED list and the Reserve Bank of India includes it on its Alert List.
Official warnings we found
- FCA (United Kingdom): Public consumer warning
- CFTC (United States): RED list of unregistered foreign firms
- RBI (India): Alert List of unauthorised platforms (19 Nov 2025)
Who can sign up
Its terms exclude the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, the EEA, Israel, Japan, Brazil and the Philippines. In most other Asian markets it accepts residents. Signing up through a VPN breaks the terms and can get the account frozen.
Lowest deposit
USD 5, the lowest among the platforms we cover. A few payment routes set a higher floor, shown in the cashier before you pay.
Lowest trade
USD 1 per trade. Timers run from a few seconds to several hours, and the payout moves with the asset and the time of day.
What you can trade
Currency pairs, crypto, commodities, shares and indices. At weekends you trade OTC prices that Pocket Option generates itself, not prices from a public market.
The platform
A browser platform with several chart styles, indicators and drawing tools. Copy trading and signals sit beside the chart, which makes it easy for a beginner to copy trades before understanding them.

Phone apps
Android has a regular app. iPhone users are mostly sent to an installable web app, since App Store availability has changed from region to region.
Paying in
Cards, e-wallets, crypto and, in several Asian markets, local bank or wallet payments through agents. The account is in US dollars, so local currency is converted.
Cashing out
Money normally goes back the way it came in. Your ID and address are checked before the first pay-out. An active bonus can block a withdrawal until its volume is reached.
Charges
No deposit fee is listed, but your bank or wallet may charge and the currency conversion costs something. On fixed-time trades Pocket Option earns because the payout is under 100% of your stake.
Help and support
Live chat, email and help pages; answers to account and payment questions are usually adequate.
Account safety
Switch on two-factor login. Beyond that, your money is protected only by the company's own rules: no strong regulator, no compensation fund.
Opening an account
An email address or social login is enough to start, and the demo opens immediately. Real-money pay-outs need an ID and proof of address.
Strengths and weak points
Strengths
- +Accounts open from USD 5 and trades from USD 1
- +Copy trading and contests on the same screen as the chart
- +Many ways to pay in, including crypto and local agents in Asia
- +Light web platform that runs well on a phone
Weak points
- −Only an offshore Comoros licence
- −Named by the UK FCA, the US CFTC and India's RBI
- −Bonuses lock your balance behind trading volume
- −Refuses residents of the Philippines and Japan
Our take
Where it accepts you, Pocket Option is the easiest place to begin: small minimums, a tidy platform and useful copy trading. The price is weak oversight and public warnings, so deposit little and try a withdrawal early.
